The Senior Pastor at my church retired today after 27 years as Senior Pastor and 37 years of vocational ministry.
Of course I am selfishly sad to see him go, but happy for him and his wife, and pray that God will abundantly bless the next chapter of their lives.
He has saved, comforted, shepherded, and encouraged many – including me – over the years of his ministry, and many of those people, including some who had to travel considerable distances, were there in person to share stories of how his ministry has changed their lives, and to pray for him and wish him well.
It was a very touching service.
