I had a spiritually transformative experience during Holy Week.
It has reoriented a lot of things in my life.
One of the things I came to see is that God gave me a gift of verbal-ness but I have been misusing it. Instead of using it to serve Him, I often use it to distance myself from others and from hard Truths..
I need to be thoughtful – and prayerful – about how I use this gift, and not just throw it around mindlessly.
I don’t intend to stop blogging. I think it would be a failure of courage to stop using the gifts God has given me for fear of not using them as He intended.
But I do need to be more intentional about what and when and why I write.
I am just at the beginning of that journey, taking baby steps.
Hopefully this blog will reflect that reorientation over time.
