Lazarus?

Is Lazarus in the Parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man (Luke 16) supposed to be the same Lazarus as Lazarus who Jesus raised from the dead (John 11)?

Or did Jesus just pick the name Lazarus out of a hat, kind of like we might call somebody “John Doe” if we were telling a story about a generic person and wanted to give him a name?
