Too Busy

I’ve been feeling less close to God as time goes by … something I figured needs some serious attention.

I’m spending more time than ever “doing God stuff” – and therein may lie the problem.

I spend time every day writing this Blog, time every day with Bible reading plans (4 of them at the moment), time every day searching out – and reading – books and articles about issues of faith that interest or puzzle me, time reading other amazing Christian blogs I’ve discovered, time researching and reading about issues impacting the Christian community like racism and pandemic viruses and economic issues and social justice …

But sometimes it seems like doing all this “God-related stuff” is keeping me so busy that I neglect actually spending personal 1-on-1 time with God.

Today I need to spend more time “with” God than thinking “about” God.
